Pink Ponies are a collection of queer-identifying campers at Burning Man. (For more on this amazing event, and its guiding principles, check out burningman.org). We celebrate randomness and playfulness in this weirdly joyful community. We oppose all forms of racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, and ageism. We are a nonprofit organization, and no one in the camp receives compensation for any of our events. All proceeds from our events go towards building a vibrant and inclusive queer community, both on and off the playa. This includes building our nonprofit nightlife infrastructure, supporting important causes, and investing in queer artists. We believe that music, dancing, drag, and fashion are essential components of a thriving community, and we offer our time & energy as gifts to our queer siblings and allies. Our intention for all of our events is to blend together the best attributes of Burning Man and queer culture: ethical creative expression, sex positivity, and gender fluidity, all experienced against the backdrop of radical inclusion, open minds, and enthusiastic consent.
